FlushMaticTM Tap & Shower


The new system for improved control of legionella


DMD places great importance on reaching its target through to the terminal, and therefore has designed the automatic flushing systems called FLUSHMATIC TAPTM (washbasin/bidet version) and FLUSHMATIC SHOWERTM (shower version).

FLUSHMATIC TAPTM enables automating the terminal flow in the water circuit, by applying a solenoid between the hot water inlet to the tap and the washbasin/bidet flushing water trap.

This is totally automatic, synchronising a dedicated pad for programming the solenoid and downloading the flush data which are processed into a detailed report which specifies:

  • Hall/department/room name where the device is installed
  • Flush check with the date and time
  • Temperature reached by each flush
  • Time to reach the preset temperature signalling any anomalies.

FLUSHMATIC SHOWER™ enables automating the shower flushing in the water circuit, by means of an incorporated mixer with solenoid. The purpose, functions and data obtained are the same for the tap version

The FLUSHMATIC TAP™ version (washbasin/bidet) flushes without any water exiting the terminal, so that the appliances are not wet, this means that the aerosol effect is not created of the vaporized hot water, reducing the risk of contamination with legionella.

Thanks to constant water exchange in the end stretches, the FLUSHMATIC™ systems enable greater contact with the TwinOxide. The flush has a max flow of approx. 11 l/min (with a pressure of 3 bar in the system) and can be programmed twice a day for a maximum of 40 minutes flushing time. The systems do not require electrical wiring as they are powered by two simple 1.5V batteries, which have a life of approx. 24 months.

Flushing and continual water exchange are the best natural treatment system to disinfect a water circuit. When this is associated to diluting a chemical substance, it becomes fundamental in reaching the final stretches of the circuit with the biocide, which are considered the most distal or critical points.

The new generation Chlorine Dioxide


The real innovation of TwinOxide® is its simple management: as it is a powder bicomponent, to activate the solution it is sufficient to just mix the two components separately in a certain volume of water, wait for a few hours to have a 99.9% pure solution 0.3% stable of Chlorine Dioxide. As no expensive and dangerous generators are needed, it can be diluted in the water system using simple dosing pumps or it can be stored in total safety. Its simple management is comparable to more common products, like Sodium Hypochlorite or Sodium Calcite, or generally all other chloride by-products.
TwinOxide® is a highly innovative cutting edge Chlorine Dioxide water treatment for dealing with various problems, including: By-products: the solution obtained by mixing the two components is 99.9% pure. This means that disinfection by-product creation is definitively eliminated, such as Tryhalomethane, Chlorites and Chlorates, which are typical of chloride disinfection (or of its by-products) and chloride dioxide when activated in the gassy state.
Biofilm: given the greater oxidation strength with respect to chloride and “traditional” chloride dioxide, TwinOxide® eliminates and prevents the formation of the biofilm which is the major culprit in legionella contamination.
Corrosiveness: purity, concentration, stability and titration of 0.3% in TwinOxide® mean smaller doses and, therefore, low corrosiveness index on the various materials used in the pipes.

DMD Control System


The DMD Control System integrates the LFS system with specific instruments able to guarantee treatment success even in the most compromised or difficult situations.


A modern, sophisticated Dioxide analyser on the line enables more specific dosing, guaranteeing total chemical coverage in the water circuit, further increasing the success of the treatment. This device also comes with the remote control kit to display the dosing status in real time, and to change the parameters and download the previous data easily onto a tablet or PC.

The reliability of the DMD Control System is given by the innovative dioxide sensor which, thanks to its construction and function technology, gives a constant and precise measurement of the concentration of chlorine dioxide in real time. The gas-selective membrane does not allow interference with other chemicals, and it protects the electrode from dirt and consequently reduces maintenance time and increases the life of the calibration point. DMD recently integrated the possibility of including a biofilm growth monitoring system into the LFS system, an exclusive feature in Italy.

Biofilm Sentinel


Biofilm Sentinel is a patented sensor able to measure and indicate the percentage level if there is effective growth or the risk of growth of the biofilm in the water circuit.

This system is able to:

  • Provide simple data.
  • Generate a system command to increase the dosage of biocide needed to return the values within the preset limit.
  • Command an alarm system in real time.

The functioning principle is based on a differential system of the sensor potential, able to attract organic particles (which form the biofilm) and make them adhere to the surface. The greater amount of cells that adhere to the sensor surface and the higher the percentage value read by the dedicated control instrument.
